Day 1: Whitewater Rafting Adventure

Details: Kick off your escape with a half-day rafting trip featuring the exhilarating Class III-V rapids of the Skykomish River. Tackle the notorious Boulder Drop and other dynamic challenges, or opt for gentler paths if you’re new or prefer a milder experience. This adventure is brought to you by the Outdoor Adventure Center in Index, WA, known for their expertly guided trips and top-notch facilities, including a historic riverfront headquarters with amenities like a hot tub, indoor restrooms, and an on-site café.

Evening River Party

Details: After the thrills of whitewater rafting, unwind at our exclusive riverside gathering. This evening party offers a perfect blend of relaxation and fun. Indulge in a delicious catered dinner featuring a variety of local and seasonal dishes that will satisfy all palates. Gather around the campfire and enjoy making s’mores with an assortment of chocolates, marshmallows, and graham crackers. A selection of refreshing beverages will be available throughout the evening. Relax by the warmth of a campfire, ideal for storytelling or simply enjoying the serene ambiance of the riverside.

Day 2: Lazy River Float

Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Details: Savor the serenity of the Skykomish River with a gentle float. Starting at Big Eddy State Park, this easy floating section of the river provides an opportunity for the whole family to experience the wonders of nature. The trip covers about 8 miles and lasts around 4 hours, ending in Sultan where you’ll then ride back to Gold Bar on a shuttle. Along the way, enjoy the picturesque scenery of the Cascade Mountains, often accompanied by sightings of local wildlife​.
